This stuff I call "work" is so often anything but that. My photography has really been an avenue through which I've had the chance to meet countless strong and inspiring women, and Amanda Booth is one of them. My recent shoot for Doên features Amanda—a model, business woman, and mother—and her son Micah, the hands-down sweetest babe in all of LA and beyond. After Micah was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Amanda made it her cause to "break down stereotypes with...an open and honest perspective," advocating for her son as well as children everywhere with Down Syndrome. Doên's co-founder Margaret Kleveland wrote a beautiful Journal post on the two of them, and I had the distinct honor and delight of meeting and capturing their love for one another. The images that follow are some of my most treasured—and I've been waiting giddily to share them with you!
