When given the chance to photograph for a kid's brand I adore, along the vibrant streets of Venice, and with my little one as one of the tiny subjects, you can bet I will respond with an enthusiastic yes before the question's even asked! This shoot for Kira Kids combined everything I love about photography (California light, pops of color, my darling daughter, etc), and I only wish we had a b-roll of the behind-the-scenes action and the hilarity that ensued. As you may be able to decipher from some of the images, Cami and Milo's budding friendship began to mimic that of a married couple—the dynamic between these two deserved its own rom-com. And sweet Ian Chen (star of ABC's Fresh Off the Boat) was a total pro and a complete delight—and between you and me, I think Cami was pretty smitten judging by the way she casually became his little shadow. Needless to say, I would work with this crew any day, and I think my daughter would wholeheartedly agree.
