Photographing family sessions for dear friends who are also photographers is perhaps one of the most gratifying aspects of this job of mine—and the opportunity to capture Ashley Caroline and her sweet family at home in Connecticut ranks high as one of my most honorable gigs yet. I spoke a bit about how we initially met in this Instagram post, but I want to reiterate the fact that Ashley has been an inspiration to me from the moment she first offered me a tissue at the airport. We may be thousands of miles apart, but this relationship is undoubtedly of the forever type and I have loved watching her work evolve and her career soar—and these images mean as much to me as I hope they do to her.
