Our move to LA fourteen months ago was marked by countless firsts, some of the most meaningful of which are my first friends and collaborators. Erica Pitman—one half of one of the city's premier event planning companies, Homethrown LA—is one of those people, and she and her incredible business partner Melissa also treated me to one of my first "business" lunches shortly after we settled in our new home. Anxious to find work and build a community, Erica and Melissa welcomed me with open arms and gave me my first glimmer of hope that my business would thrive and we could make this major transition work for our family. We shared battleground tales as three ex-New-Yorkers and schemed about future projects and an ongoing relationship as creative moms just doing what we love most, and I specifically recall thinking between bites of Milo & Olive pizza that I had struck gold in the friend department.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I had the opportunity to capture Erica's sweet family of five. The humor and generous spirit of Erica and her husband Sam has clearly manifested itself into the three amazing little humans, and I think you'll see and feel the infectious character of each of them in the images that follow. Erica, you've been a total blessing to me and our entire family, and I think the absolute world of you and yours.
