carry for a cure | collaboration with ergobaby and susan g. komen

Pursuing a career as a photographer has not only allowed me to exercise my need to create, but perhaps most importantly, it has led me to some of the most incredible people I've ever encountered—and every day that I get the chance to meet someone new and learn their journey is a day that makes me fall in love with this job all over again.

I recently teamed up with Ergobaby to photograph two inspiring families on either coast for the launch of Ergo's new carrier designed in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in support of Susan G. Komen®. Both featured mothers are breast cancer survivors with stories that will make you want to reach into your device screen and embrace them for their unspeakable strength and bravery in the face of horrific battles. I encourage you to take a moment to read their words (my dear friend Ana's story is here and here, and Nikki and Jill's story is here) and take heed to their advice by finding gratitude for even the smallest joy or pleasure that you're able to experience as a result of being on this planet.

To those interested in purchasing a special edition Ribbons Carrier, they go on sale today (for pre-orders), and a portion of every purchase goes toward the efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.
